2010 Biweekly Greenwaste and Recycling Calendar
- Garbage carts (brown) are collected every week.
- Recycling (blue) and green waste (green) carts are collected every other week, on an alternating basis
- The calendar below shows the weekly collection schedule for 2010. The weeks highlighted in blue are recycling weeks, and weekly highlighted in green are greenwaste weeks.

Rancho Cordova residents have a choice. Allied Waste Services offers 32-gallon, 64-gallon and 96-gallon garbage carts. The table below includes current monthly garbage rates.

*Notes:
Monthly rates are based upon the size of the garbage cart and include all programs and services, including curbside recycling and greenwaste collection, the bulky item program, used oil and filter collection, etc. Allied Waste Services bills customers on a bimonthly basis (every other month), so the actual bill will be double the amount shown above.
- Residential customers may request one additional greenwaste cart or recycling cart at no additional charge by contacting Allied Waste Services at (916) 638-9000.

Cart Program Reminders

How to Exchange Carts or Order an Extra Cart? Residents may change the size and/or the number of their carts once per year at no additional charge. Each household may have, at no additional charge, one extra recycle cart or one extra green waste cart, amounting to a maximum total of four carts.
Any additional carts will be charged extra. Monthly fees are determined by trash cart size. Call Customer services at (916) 638-9000 for rates related to changes of cart services.

Cart Placement? Carts must be placed on the street no later than 6 a.m. on your collection day and must be off the streets and back on private property within 12 hours of being serviced. Carts must be at least 3 feet off the curb, gutter, paved surface or highway and 3 feet away from all objects. Carts must also be 6 feet away from vehicles.

Moving? IF you are moving, please leave your recycling, green waste and trash carts in a secure location for the next resident. To discontinue service and billing, please call Allied Customer Service at (916) 638-9000.

Payment Options? Allied Waste Services bill customers on a bimonthly basis for solid waste collection services. Rancho Cordova residents have the following payment options:

- Blue Recycling Cart (Collected biweekly)
- Plastic containers (#1-7)
- Glass bottles and jars (labels and lids are OK)
- Aluminum, steel and tin cans
- Chipboard such as cereal and tissue boxes
- Corrugated cardboard (flatter or fold to fit in cart with lid closed)
- Paper including newsprint, magazines, junk mail, office and computer paper, catalogs, paperboard, phonebooks, grocery bags, egg cartons, envelopes, legal pads, etc.

Household Hazardous Waste
Please do not place hazardous wastes such as motor oil, paint, pesticides, solvents or cleaning products in any of your collection carts.
