What It Is
The Development Services Team ("DST") is a multi-disciplinary team that acts as an internal coordinator to assist the development community, local businesses and residents with issues or questions related to the development permitting and plan check processes. Team members include representatives from City departments and partner agencies that are involved in development applications. The team was established in 2008 to further drive the City’s goal of providing
exceptional customer service by facilitating the development process.
Who We Can Help
The Development Services Team is a resource for customers that are looking for additional guidance at any stage of the development process. Examples of types of projects and customers that the team can assist with:
- Residential improvements
- Commercial Builders
- Developers
- Anyone with technical, procedural or policy questions on development projects in Rancho Cordova

- Help customers efficiently move through the entire process

- Pre-application meetings to review a proposed project
- Fee estimates
- Review of plan check submittal checklists for non-residential construction and civil improvement plans
- Project review meetings for large projects
- Proactive identification of problems that may arise
- Guide projects that are off-track
