Council Member Linda Budge was elected to the first City Council when the City incorporated in 2003 and re-elected in November 2006. She served as Mayor in 2004 and 2008 and as Vice Mayor in 2007 and Mayor Pro Tempore in 2002/03.

Linda has resided in this area for 41 years and has been involved in almost all aspects of community life in Rancho Cordova. She has been active in Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce and was named Volunteer of the Year in 1999. She was president of the Cordova Community Council, saved the historic Mills Station building for a new life as a community center at the Mather Field Mills Station, and also served on the Sacramento County Fire Protection District Board.

She is an American Institute Certified Planner and the owner of Geometra Planning & Permitting, a full service planning and permit processing firm. As a consulting planner, she handles rezones and use permits and has processed commercial building permits all over the U.S. She studied at the University of Georgia; University of California, Davis; Sacramento State University, and American River College. She earned a Certificate of Corporate Community Relations from Boston College. She and her husband, Lee Garrison, a retired civil engineer, share five children and 14 grandchildren.
