Welcome to the City of Rancho Cordova’s Community Engagement Program! Housed in the Community Development Department, this program focuses on the most important natural resource we have: people! Residents of Rancho Cordova have worked tirelessly to build neighborhood coalitions, clean-up neighborhoods, plant gardens, build relationships, and create a sense of community, making this a fun and safe place to live, work, and play.
The City see’s community engagement as a way for us all to work together to help improve the quality of life in Rancho Cordova, by making our businesses and non-profits successful, building stronger neighborhoods, and making this a fun and safe place to live, work, and play.
Do you want to get to know your neighbors better? Have you ever wanted to build a neighborhood group and wondered where to begin? Does a block party, clothing exchange, community garden, or neighborhood garage sale sound like fun to you? Have you ever wondered how you can influence decisions affecting you within the City? Community Engagement is about giving you the tools needed to take a leadership role and work with your community to decide what issues are worth investing in. It involves a partnership between government and the people it represents. It means taking collective responsibility for the conditions of our community.
