Post Date:08/22/2017 11:00 AM
On Monday, August 21st, Stacy Leitner was sworn in as the new City Clerk for the City of Rancho Cordova. Leitner has worked at the City as the Executive Assistant to the City Manager and Administrative Support Supervisor since 2004. Leitner has also served as the Interim City Clerk during Rancho Cordova’s early cityhood.

As City Clerk, Stacy Leitner will lead the City Clerk’s office, which publishes the Council meeting agendas, documents all of the laws that are made, prepares for Council meetings, administers elections, and keeps all of the important City records.

In addition to her career at the City of Rancho Cordova, Leitner has dedicated nearly 20 years to teaching college business, computer application and career development courses at four different colleges, and currently teaches online for Brigham Young University-Idaho.

She has been recognized by the Cordova Community Council, California Business Education Association and Heald College for her contributions to education. In 2012, Stacy was selected as the Office Team Administrative Professional of the Year.

Leitner currently serves on the board of directors for the International Association of Administrative Professionals. She earned a M.S. in Education with an Emphasis in Educational Technology from Boise State University, B.S. in Business Information Systems from Utah State University, and two A.A. degrees from Butte College.

Stacy Leitner fills a position vacated by Mindy Cuppy, who accepted the position of City Clerk for the City of Sacramento at the end of July, after having served as the City Clerk for the City of Rancho Cordova for nine years.
