Remembering Fallen Officer Mark Stasyuk

Post Date:09/19/2018 6:58 PM

The City of Rancho Cordova, Rancho Cordova Police Department and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department would like to thank the community for its outpouring of support and sympathy in the wake of the September 17, 2018 shooting that resulted in the death of Rancho Cordova Police Officer/Sacramento County Sheriff Deputy Mark Stasyuk.

The City and RCPD have received many messages from community members asking what they can do to support RCPD’s officers. So, in honor and remembrance of Officer Stasyuk and to support RCPD officers, the City, the Rancho Cordova Police Department and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department will be providing blue ribbons that residents can tie around trees in their front yards or at their businesses. The blue ribbon shows support for fallen officers, like Officer Mark Stasyuk, as well as for officers who are working in our community to keep residents and businesses safe.

Starting September 20, 2018, pick up a blue ribbon at the following locations to tie around your front yard tree or tree in front of your business:

  • RCPD, 2897 Kilgore Road, Rancho Cordova, Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
