City of Rancho Cordova Launches Volunteer Central

Post Date:06/09/2022 9:23 AM

Now, it’s easier than ever to connect residents, community members and businesses with volunteer opportunities and community service projects where people can share their talents to make a positive difference!

The City of Rancho Cordova launched Volunteer Central, a new one-stop-shop for those who are interested in volunteering and for organizations and businesses who are seeking volunteers.

Through Volunteer Central, residents, community members and businesses connect with volunteer opportunities and community service projects in one place to make a positive difference. Signing up is easy at cityofranchocordova.org/volunteer, and once you sign up, you will be notified of opportunities with nonprofits you’re interested in assisting, you can track your volunteer hours, your community impact, and more.

“We know that Rancho Cordova is a community that loves to give back. With Volunteer Central, finding volunteers and volunteer opportunities will be easier than ever,” said Matt Buland, Community Engagement Assistant.

"It is great to have all the volunteer needs and organizations in one spot for the entire City of Rancho Cordova. The community will find new organizations that they didn't know about and become more educated on what is happening in their city,” said Cheryl Gleason, Art Director/Curator for the Mills Station Arts and Culture Center (MACC).

There’s more of a need than ever for volunteers. By signing up for Volunteer Central, you could help with:

  • Rebuild Day with the City of Rancho Cordova on Saturday, June 11
  • Juneteenth Celebration with the Folsom Cordova Community Partnership on Friday, June 17
  • Pride with Leo and Friends on Saturday, June 25
  • Members Exhibit at the MACC on various dates
