Across the city, once-ordinary utility and traffic signal boxes have been transformed into bold, colorful canvases. Wrapped in designs created by local artists, they now bring unexpected bursts of art to corners and corridors we pass each day, showcasing the talents of Rancho Cordova’s creative community while also making routine commutes a little brighter and more inspiring.

On Lincoln Village Drive, art has found a home right on the pavement itself. Three large-scale asphalt art pieces now add vibrant color to intersections along Lincoln Village Drive. Designed by local artists and painted by community members during the city’s Spring Service Day, the colorful works do more than add beauty to the neighborhood. Showcasing the character of the Lincoln Village community, the artwork brings color and visibility to local intersections. As part of Rancho Cordova’s Asphalt Art Pilot Project, they are helping the city learn how art might transform everyday streets into safer, more welcoming places
