Congratulations are in order for our city team!

Recently, the City of Rancho Cordova’s Human Resources Department was selected as a 2025 Capstone Challenge Award Winner by the National League of Cities (NLC). The award was presented at the 2025 NLC City Summit in Salt Lake City, Utah. The city earned this recognition for a project that modernized how we manage employee information and payroll.

The city’s Finance Department also received an award from the Government Finance Officers Association for its budget. This award reflects our commitment as a city, both the governing body and staff, to upholding the highest principles of governmental budgeting. To receive this recognition, we were required to meet nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.

These recognitions highlight Rancho Cordova’s ongoing commitment to effective government, innovation, and quality service. The city remains focused on strengthening internal systems, supporting employees, and delivering responsive services that benefit the entire community.
