Request for Proposals – On-Call Tree Maintenance Services

The City of Rancho Cordova, through its Department of Public Works, invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for On-Call Tree Maintenance Services. The Contractor will be expected to perform services comprised of tree pruning, tree removal, stump grinding, 24/7 emergency services. These services may be required to be performed on public or private property, including public or private streets, drainage basins, creeks, and channels, and residential or commercial parcels.

All work shall be performed in accordance with industry standards, applicable regulations, and sustainable maintenance practices to ensure the long-term health and appearance of trees as outlined in the Scope of Services.

Minimum Qualifications

Contractors must meet the following minimum qualifications, including but not limited to:

  • Possession of a valid State of California C61/C49 Tree Service Contractor License, in good standing with the California Department of Consumer Affairs Contractors State License Board. A copy of the license shall be submitted with the Proposal. 
  • ISA Certified Arborists
  • Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) Accreditation 
  • Within the past five (5) years, Proposer shall have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous experience in the ownership and direct management of a tree maintenance business. Ownership shall be defined as possessing at least 25% ownership stake in the company, with active involvement in the day-to-day management of the business.
