One of the City of Rancho Cordova's Citywide Goals is to "ensure a safe, inviting and livable community." The City has initiated numerous projects under our Beautification Program to improve the quality of life in Rancho Cordova, increase property values, and transform neighborhoods into safer, cleaner, healthier environments. See below for more information on our current Beautification Projects:
Rebuilding Together Sacramento: The City works with non-profit organization Rebuilding Together Sacramento to improve the health, safety, efficiency, and curb appeal of Rancho Cordova of homes. Supported in part by the City's Measure H Community Enhancement Fund, Rebuilding Together Sacramento brings together community partners, volunteers, and donors to make modifications to homes, landscapes, and public spaces that strengthen lives and neighborhoods. The program typically organizes "Rebuild Day" events once a year (National Rebuild Day is the last Saturday in April) in targeted neighborhoods.
Sierra Service Project: The City works with non-profit organization Sierra Service Project (SSP) to provide home repair and improvement services to Rancho Cordova residents free-of-charge. Supported by a grant from the City's Measure H Community Enhancement Fund, SSP implements the Rancho Cordova Beautification Program by providing services such a house painting, chain link fence removal, and yard clean ups. Services are available year-round for approved applicants.
Community Service Projects: The City's Community Engagement Division connects residents and businesses with local community service opportunities year-round. Individuals or groups interested in volunteering or seeking community service hours can help beautify Rancho Cordova by supporting home improvement, tree planting, street inspection projects, and more.
