A public-private partnership to master-develop nearly 10 acres in a qualified Opportunity Zone

The City of Rancho Cordova is pursuing a public-private partnership to master develop a ~9.8-acre transit-oriented development site located on the north side of Folsom Boulevard across from Mather Field and the Mills Light Rail Station. The Mills Station District, also known as the Civic Center project, is envisioned to be a multi-use hub for activity that incorporates cultural, recreational, residential, and commercial uses. The City is making $35 million in funding and City-owned land available for the development of the Project.  Other benefits include Opportunity Zone tax deferral incentives and statewide transit-oriented development funding opportunities.

The City released an Offering Memorandum inviting letters of interest from qualified developers by September 20, 2019.  See the development submittal requirements and timeline here
