Economic Development Strategic Plan

The City of Rancho Cordova has developed a three-year Economic Development Strategic Plan and implementation roadmap that will help further sustainable and inclusive economic growth in our city for 2025-2028. As part of the planning process, the city and TIP Strategies, Inc. (consulting firm) engaged with a variety of businesses, key stakeholders and others to solicit feedback. The feedback was incorporated into the analysis and development of the strategic plan. The Economic Development Department and TIP Strategies, Inc, hosted:

• 2 Community Events
• 9 Roundtable Sessions
• 17 One-on-One interviews with City Council Members and local leaders in economic development and business

By aligning the unique perspectives with actionable strategies, the EDSP aims to foster sustainable growth and support an inclusive economic environment that meets both current and future needs of Rancho Cordova’s residents and businesses.

The City of Rancho Cordova held a series of dynamic roundtable discussions aimed at shaping the future of economic development in Rancho Cordova. These collaborative gatherings brought together key stakeholders, industry experts, and community leaders to share ideas, identify emerging opportunities, and discuss pressing challenges that impact Rancho Cordova’s economic development. Each roundtable session focused on a specific industry or thematic area vital to our economic landscape.

Community Meetings

The City of Rancho Cordova and TIP Strategies, Inc. hosted Community Meetings to bring together residents, business owners, and community leaders to gather input for the Economic Development Strategic Plan. Participants received an update from TIP Strategies, Inc. on the progress of the strategic plan development and engaged in discussions to share their ideas and priorities for the future growth and development of the city. The feedback collected will be instrumental in shaping the plan.
