A collaborative partnership between Rancho Cordova Police Department, Code Enforcement, Sacramento County Probation, and Building and Safety Division that takes a holistic view areas of the City with high police and code enforcement calls for service. High numbers of calls for service in small, targeted areas throughout the City absorb many of the City's resources in a reactive manner. To correct issues in these areas the City intelligently utilized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping to identify the 50 areas of the City seeing the highest number of calls for police services, code enforcement and building & safety issues, and crime data. Once identified, City departments and partner agencies coordinate inspections of the 50 properties identified as consuming the most City resources. The goal of the program is to reduce substandard housing, crime, and improve the quality of life for residents in these Focus on 50 properties and targeted areas.
