The MACC is hosting several Black History Month events right here in the City of Rancho Cordova. Don't miss out!
- Voices in Thread: An Exhibit Featuring the Social Justice Sewing Academy
- This exhibit empowers young people to express themselves and create change through sewing and textile art. Social Justice education, Make A Community Quilt workshops, and art quilt programming are SJSA core activities that help middle and high school students grow as critical thinkers, artists, and advocates.
- Exhibit runs: January 15 – February 21, 2026
- Artist talk reception: February 5, 5:30 – 7:30 PM
- Ancestral Alchemy: The Sacredness of Black Women - A Solo Show by Yannah Evans
- Inspired by her ancestors, her art represents the sacredness of black women through her spiritual, imaginative, and intuitive process. Her art is a reflection of herself and the inspirational women in her life. It's a magical journey of transformation and creation.
- Exhibit runs: February 5 - 21, 2026
- Artist talk reception: February 6 from 5:30 PM - 7 PM
- Concert at the MACC: Sabrina the Songstress
- Sabrina and her fabulous trio will perform some of the greatest hits from the HR era including recordings by Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole and more! They will bring these artists to life with their dynamic sound, beautiful arrangements and historical accounts of the lives of these legends!

Ri-Nu Imagination Studios
- Black History Month Art Show
- Ri-Nu Imagination Studios is hosting a special art show celebrating Black History Month. The show will run Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM and Sundays 11 AM to 2 PM, from February 7 through 28. An artist reception is set to take place Saturday, February 21 from 4 PM to 7 PM.

- Black History Month: "Hidden Pioneers"
- Join Lifetime Presidential Gold Medal Award Winner CSI Bill Montgomery for a special presentation and exhibition to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Negro History Week and the 50th Anniversary of Black History Month.
Montgomery leads the organization The Hidden Pioneers, which carries on the legacy of his cousin Katherine Johnson, who was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Honor by President Barack Obama for her role in computing for NASA. Her story was told in the 2016 film Hidden Figures.
Montgomery and his special exhibition will be at Rancho Cordova City Hall on Friday, February 6, beginning at 5:30 PM.
