June is Pride month! Here are ways to kick off the month alongside our LGBTQIA+ community in the City of Rancho Cordova and surrounding communities.

Sacramento Pride Weekend - June 14 & 15, 2025

Sacramento Pride Weekend events are produced by the Sacramento LGBT Community Center. We work to support the health and wellness of the most marginalized, advocate for equity and justice, and building a culturally rich LGBTQ+ community. Learn more

Sacramento Children's Museum - June 1-30, 2025

Visit the Sacramento Children's Museum for a month celebrating love and kindness! Guests can take part in a daily kindness activity, themed arts and crafts, hear stories about and written by the LGBTQ+ community, take part in themed STEM experiments, and so much more!

The museum is also a child-centric pride event on June 7 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM! Celebrate at the Pride with Leo and Friends Dance Party! Join SCM for museum play, pride activities, and a dance party. Wear your best rainbow or celebration outfit and join in the fun. Learn more

The Smithsonian Celebrates LGBTQ+ Pride Month

Join the Smithsonian in commemorating National Pride Month with events, resources, and podcast episodes that tell a diversity of Pride stories. Learn more

GLBT Historical Society

The GLBT Historical Society features online exhibitions including photographs documenting the history of 50 years of San Francisco Pride, pride flags and commentary by their creators, and other historical artifacts. The society was founded in 1985 and collects, preserves, exhibits and makes accessible to the public materials and knowledge to support and promote understanding of LGBTQ history, culture and arts in all their diversity.
