SMUD

SMUD implemented a series of billing and service modifications to support customers who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Extended through May 30, 2020, SMUD:

  • Will not disconnect your power due to non-payment.
  • Wants all of their residential and commercial customers to have power at this time. Customers who are behind on payment will still owe SMUD for service, they will just not lose power at this time.
  • For customers who may have difficulty paying their bill, SMUD offers several payment arrangement options for qualified customers such as installment plans and lowering the minimum payment due.

Refer to the website for specific terms and for a full list of plan modifications available.
